Transformer Work at the Port.
Our crew has successfully completed their first Transformer Tiedown at NNMT as SIS Employees. In collaboration with the Longshoremen, they landed the 162,000 lb. transformer and then balanced the load by placing 28,000 lbs. of counterweight blocks on the light side of the railcar. The transformer was then secured with 1” plate and the counterweights were secured with angle iron.
